Oxbow & Peach is a partnership between old school friends Georgie Mitchell and Lizzie Griggs. The name Oxbow & Peach is a play on our maiden names 'Oxley' and 'Petrie'.  Vintage appeals to us both on every level - not only are quality and individuality more important than monetary value or fashion, but breathing life into old objects is also more sustainable.

ABOUT LIZZIE

From an early age I have loved rummaging through boxes at flea markets and junk yards, looking for treasure – the excitement of finding a long-discarded, beautifully-made vintage gem is hard to beat.

After spending time working and living in France and London, I returned to my home city of Cambridge to raise my family and where I also work as a Cambridge tour guide. Georgie and I are well into our 4th decade of friendship, both sharing a love of all things quirky and vintage. When Georgie first came to me with the idea of turning our passion for seeking out unusual pieces into a business, little did I think that it would develop into what we have today.

ABOUT GEORGIE

Having spent 30 years as a professional chef, I decided the time had come to hang up my apron and embrace the opportunity to develop Oxbow and Peach. Working alongside Lizzie and indulging my increasingly all-consuming passion for eclectic interiors is a joy and a relief. Being something of a 'chaotic creative' myself, Oxbow and Peach has become an essential creative and personal outlet for me. Contacts and friendships formed with our customers, along with the styling of our funny wee shop, gives me so much pleasure! I am never happier than when filling a beautiful, maybe chipped, mid-19th century jug with flowers grown from my own garden or recycling and rehoming a faded furniture find otherwise destined for landfill.
